Analytics Consultant

The Data Branch among 180DC Barcelona is quite new, and we are looking for a motivated tech-interested candidates to be sharing the same values as the association’s ones. The department has a huge potential to help NGOs and organizations as such establishments usually underestimate the power of data and analytics.

What You'll Do

  • Provide data-driven insights and solutions for client projects, particularly for NGOs and nonprofits and our internal consultants.

  • Data Collection and Cleaning: Gather, clean, and prepare data from various sources for analysis for both internal and project-related purposes.

  • Data Analysis and Visualization: Perform data analysis using tools like Excel, Python, R, or SQL and create compelling visualizations with Power BI, Tableau, or similar software.

  • Impact Measurement: Assist in designing and developing frameworks for measuring social impact, including KPIs and dashboards.

  • Data-Driven Recommendations: Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve client operations, fundraising, and program effectiveness.

What We're After

  • Are a team player passionate about having a positive impact on society.

  • You are currently enrolled in a Bachelors, Masters, MBA or PhD in Data or related technical or quantitative fields in Barcelona for the academic year of 2024-2025.

  • Are proficient in data analysis and statistical tools (Excel (VBA), Python, R, or SQL).

  • Have experience (or experimented) with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio, etc.).

  • Some knowledge about database management, data cleaning, and transformation techniques (ETL)

  • Communication and interpersonal skills, team player.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic planning ability.

  • Understanding of business context, and capacity to successfully translate goals into action.

  • Strong ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and generate insights.

  • Fluent in English written/verbal.

 

It Would Be Great If You Also

  • Prior experience in student associations/volunteering experience.

  • Knowledge or prior experience in Impact Measurement.

  • Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for data storage and processing.
