Analytics Consultant

As an Analytics Consultant at 180 Degrees Consulting Barcelona, you’ll be part of our growing Analytics Branch, an initiative dedicated to helping socially driven organizations unlock the power of data. You'll apply your technical skills to real-world problems, delivering insights that drive smarter decisions and measurable impact.

 

This role is ideal for students interested in analytics, social entrepreneurship, and using data for good. You'll work with NGOs, non-profits, and internal teams to turn complex information into meaningful, actionable recommendations.

What You'll Do
  • Deliver data-driven insights for client projects and internal consulting teams, with a focus on NGOs and social enterprises.
  • Collect, clean, and organize datasets from various sources, preparing them for analysis using appropriate ETL techniques.
  • Analyze and visualize data using tools like Excel, Python, R, or SQL, and create compelling dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or similar software.
  • Support impact measurement by building frameworks and KPIs to evaluate social outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Provide clear and actionable recommendations to clients based on analytical findings, helping improve operations, fundraising, and strategic decision-making.

What We're After

  • You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related technical/quantitative field in Barcelona for the 2025-2026 academic year.

  • You are proficient in data analysis and programming tools (e.g., Excel/VBA, Python, R, or SQL).

  • You have experience (or a strong interest) in data visualization using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.

  • You understand data cleaning, transformation, and database management processes.

  • You’re a strategic thinker and problem-solver, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • You are passionate about using data for social good, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative, impact-focused team.

  • You are fluent in English (written and spoken).

It Would Be Great If You Also

  • Have experience in impact measurement or working with KPIs and evaluation frameworks.

  • Have participated in student associations, volunteering initiatives, or consulting projects.

  • Have familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for data storage and processing.
